American buttercreamWhipped butter and powdered sugar frosting, sweet and fluffy, easy to tint and pipe into borders, rosettes and lettering.
Swiss meringue buttercreamSatiny frosting made by whipping cooked egg whites and sugar with butter; less sugary and smooth enough for razor-sharp edges.
